Lecture/Panel Discussion “The Great Chicago Fire”
David Lewis, Curator for the Aurora Regional Fire Museum was among the panel of historians invited to participate as lecture at the Fire Museum of Greater Chicago upon the discovery of a Chicago-Fire era fire company journal.


Television's “Tech Effect: The Great Chicago Fire”
In the June of 2004, The Aurora Regional Fire Museum was again asked to assist in the filming of a television documentary about the Chicago Fire. The History Channel's Tech Effect used artifacts and images from the museum's collection, and we were invited to participate as one of the show's historical consultants and technical advisors.

Television's “Unsolved History: The Great Chicago Fire”
In the summer of 2003, David Lewis, Curator for the Aurora Regional Fire Museum was invited to participate as one of the on-camera guest historians on Unsolved History a weekly series on the Discovery Channel.

The Book, “The Great Chicago Fire and the Myth of Mrs. O'Leary's Cow”
In 2002 the Aurora Regional Fire Museum was delighted to assist Dick Bales with images and historical consulting on this ground-breaking book about the cause of the Great Chicago Fire.


Lecture “The Great Chicago Fire”
David Lewis, Curator/Historian for the Aurora Regional Fire Museum has been presenting lectures on the Great Chicago Fire to museums, historical societies, school and coummunity groups since 1985.
