With deepest regret, we inform you that retired Asst. Chief Louis Morse
passed away on January 28, 2012. He was born March 26, 1932 in Aurora.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served in the Korean Conflict.
He served on the Aurora Fire Department from 1959 until 1984.

Morse, Louis 1932 2011 Louis Morse, 79, of Sterling, Illinois formerly of Aurora, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Rush Copley Medical Center. He was born March 26, 1932 in Aurora. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served in the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1984 from the Aurora Fire Department. He is survived by wife, Judith (Rumple); five children, Pamela Morse, Nanci (William) Thayer, Louis (Linda) Morse, James (Geralyn) Morse, Michael (Sabine) Morse; ten grandchildren, Katherine (Russell) Rogers, William (Becky) Thayer, Kyle Thayer, Stephanie (Chris) Sharkey, Ryan (Amanda) Morse, Amanda (Cody) Ward, Tyler Morse, Nikolai Morse, Sebastian Morse, Gabriel Morse; three great granddaughters; a sister, Helen Steib; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna (Kish) Morse; three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, Rev Dalmas Meeks will officiate. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 North Lake Street, Aurora. 630-631-5500.
