He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served in the Korean Conflict. He served on the Aurora Fire Department from 1959 until 1984. He was born March 26, 1932 in Aurora. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and served in the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1984 from the Aurora Fire Department. He is survived by wife, Judith (Rumple); five children, Pamela Morse, Nanci (William) Thayer, Louis (Linda) Morse, James (Geralyn) Morse, Michael (Sabine) Morse; ten grandchildren, Katherine (Russell) Rogers, William (Becky) Thayer, Kyle Thayer, Stephanie (Chris) Sharkey, Ryan (Amanda) Morse, Amanda (Cody) Ward, Tyler Morse, Nikolai Morse, Sebastian Morse, Gabriel Morse; three great granddaughters; a sister, Helen Steib; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna (Kish) Morse; three sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 12:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, Rev Dalmas Meeks will officiate. Interment will be private.
