Our Hometown History
The cultural identity of any nation, community or people is woven into its stories, which contain indications for how the beliefs, values and priorities of those people were carried out over time. Nowhere is this more magnified than in the many local, small-town museums that collect the stories and artifacts of the surrounding areas from times gone by.
Our Hometown History presents an overview of these museums, in an effort to help community members understand the importance of continuing to reflect upon the shared identity of everyone who has called a place “home.”
